MoviPrep Bowel Prep
Certain medications (i.e.: Coumadin, aspirin, anti-inflammatory medications, plavix, vitamin E) can increase the likelihood of bleeding during or after colonoscopy and are often discontinued for one week prior to the procedure.
Patients who take these (and other) medications on a regular basis should consult their doctor regarding their use in preparation of colonoscopy.
**If you take heart or blood pressure medication, please take these at least 2 (two) hours prior to the procedure with a sip of water.
Please fill your prescription for Moviprep at least 3 days prior to your colonoscopy.

Drink only clear fluids for breakfast, lunch and dinner. These include water, clear fruit juices (apple, grape, Gatorade), bouillon and Jell-O (but not red or orange Jell-O). Do not consume solid food or milk products.
Beginning at 5:00PM empty 1 Pouch A and 1 Pouch B into the disposable MoviPrep container. Add lukewarm drinking water to the top line of the container and mix to dissolve powder.(Note: if preferred, mix solution ahead of time and chill prior to drinking. The reconstituted solution should be used within 24 hours). The container is divided by 4 marks. Every 15 minutes drink the solution down to the next mark (approximately 8 oz.) until the 1 liter container is consumed.
Drink 16 oz. of the clear liquid of your choice. This is a necessary step to ensure adequate hydration and an effective prep.

(Note: if preferred, mix solution ahead of time and chill prior to drinking. The reconstituted solution should be used within 24 hours). The container is divided by 4 marks. Do not have anything to eat or drink after midnight, except for heart or blood pressure medication.

If you develop discomfort or distention (bloating), stop drinking the solution for a while or wait longer between drinking each glass until the discomfort goes away.
Do not take any other medicines within 1 hour of starting to drink the solution
Nausea, cramping and abdominal fullness are the most common adverse reactions
